Two thumbs down....
I always enjoy watching the Rome Braves play baseball, but the concessions were extremely pricey. My grandson was charged $3 for a paper cup half full of water (no ice). I addressed the issue by returning to the concession stand (by Chic Fil A) and telling them how ashamed they should be for charging $3 for a half cup of water. At my request, not theirs, a young lady filled the cup with ice and added more water. Based on the concession prices, it's no wonder that there was hardly any business at the concession stands. Shame, shame, shame.........
Second game of the season versus Hudson Valley.
Attended Braves second (4-13-22) game of the year with my 23 year old Grand-Daughter; always enjoy time spent with our kids and baseball. We had purchased smart-phone TicketMaster tickets, found good parking and got into the newly named AdventHealth Stadium between the 2-3 inning. I bought snacks at the food counter before finding our seats between third and home. Saw several friends from the area at the Rome victory. Late in the game we went to the pavilion (BBQ) down the first base line and had our picture taken with last year's Major League World Series Championship trophy - that was neat! Plenty of new names on the roster. It will take me a while to get to know them (hope we have some Spenser Strider and Michael Harris III clones). Too early in the season to tell if we're going to win division. But I expect Kanekoa will make us competitive. The facilities improvements are nice. Can't wait for my favorite time of the year - colored tees, shorts and flip-flops and 90 degree weather. Now that covid is basically over, I plan to attend more games.
Good experience each time but keep in mind a few things
Pros:
1. Great environment to be at to teach a kid how to play and spend quality time with them
2. Cost to get in is low and parking is easy
3. Good opp to get a foul ball
Cons:
1. Food has gotten way more expense like everything else and the quality was not great (Cheese Burger/Fries/Drink = $17, fries tasted old).
2. Some food places are closed inside.
3. Can't just get a cup of water without being asked to "pay for the cup".
*I did try to find a ticket online prior to actually purchasing and some sites show tickets way higher than they should have been. So make sure you're on the correct website to purchase a Rome Braves ticket.*
